Simple School Makeup

I'm guessing school have started for most people now, or will start soon. And that probably means that you have to get up earlier and not have as much time for doing your makeup. You might also be quite tired and want to make yourself look more awake and fresh. That is why I wanted to share this makeup look with you today. It is a simple look and it only takes about 10 minutes for me to do.

Firstly I just wanted to give you a couple tips for how to make you look more awake when you are doing your makeup;

  • Use a very light eye pencil (or white but it can look a bit harsh) in your waterline and a light eyeshadow in your inner corners. This will help to open up your eyes which makes you look more awake.
  • Use a blush with a little shimmer in it because the shimmer will help making your skin look more healthy. Now if don't like shimmery blushes, then don't use it. But I personally think it's pretty, especially when you skin is looking tired and dull. Alternatively you can use a matt blush and a highlighter or your cheekbones if you have a matt blush you want to use but also want a little glow/shimmer.
  • If you have time, then a winged eyeliner is something that also helps with opening up your eyes. It  doesn't has to be dramatic in any way. Just a thin line with a little wing will do the job.

This is the look that I did and I really feel like it just makes me look awake and fresh which is the whole point of it. The only thing is that I am an winged eyeliner girl and I did not use eyeliner with this look and the reason to that is that I wouldn't always have time for eyeliner when I went to school. (I feel really old when I think about that I'm not in school anymore..) So basically, I would like this look more with a winged eyeliner but if you don't have time, you don't have time, and I still do like this look and it is one that I do quite often.

Here you can see the eyeshadows more. I guess you could say it's a really easy and natural smokey look.

So how did I achieve this look? Well, I started with my base and for that I used the beautycycle oil free foundation (I don't know where you can buy this, I got it from my mom who bought it when she was at a friend who had a makeup artist coming over. Sorry... But I really like it so I wanted to use it). My MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC 15 and my Kicks Powder in Translucent (which I'm running out of) and for blush I used the Wet n Wild Colour Icon blush in Pearlescent Pink. I did not use a bronzer this time but sometimes I do and when I do that it is the E.L.F. Cool bronzer I use.
I filled in my eyebrows with the Soap And Glory Archery Brow Pencil.
For the eyes I primed them with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance and then I used the Wet n Wild Colour Icon Palette in Comfort Zone.I first applied the colour in the top left hand corner on the inner half of my eyelid and as a highlighter in my inner corner. Then I applied the brown colour two steps down from the first one on the outer half of my eyelid and then I blend them together. I finished the eyes with the IsaDora Inliner Kajal in Blonde and the Maybelline The Rocket Mascara.
Lastly for my lips and wanted something natural that doesn't matter if it wears off and that is easy to reapply so I want for the E.L.F. Lip Balm SPF in Peach just to give my lips a little bit of colour and also moisturize them.

How do you like your makeup for school?
